Watford

Man Utd
- Juraj Kucka is suspended for Watford after his red card before the international break.
- Kiko Femenia and Francisco Sierralta returned from injury before the break but the latter is now back on the sidelines after a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
- Nicolas Nkoulou made his full Watford debut against Arsenal before the break and should keep his place in defence here.
- Ozan Tufan is recovering from a leg injury and is a doubt here. His absence could cause a shift in formation to 4-4-1-1 with Joao Pedro coming in.
- Tom Cleverley, Joshua King and Ben Foster are all former Manchester United players.
- After a dire performance against Manchester City before the break, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should really make wholesale changes.
- It's now or never for Donny van de Beek with the January transfer looming. If not now, then it's over for him.
- The same is true for Jesse Lingard but after he shared a post on social media of him playing for West Ham that ship has probably already sailed.
- Aaron Wan-Bissaka's poor recent form may prompt calls for Diogo Dalot to get a chance at right-back.
- Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial have watched from the stands of late but could come into contention here in a re-jig from Solskjaer.
- Scott McTominay insists he is now fine despite missing both Scotland games during the break with a throat infection.
- Fred's late return from Brazil could see him be the one to miss out in midfield if Van de Beek is finally given a rare start.
- Marcus Rashford pulled out of the England squad to work on his fitness but should be available this weekend.
- Luke Shaw missed England duty with concussion but should be available to start on Saturday.
- Edinson Cavani, Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba are all still missing for the away side. The latter is suspended but is now injured on top of that.
Ole has gone. So who next? Nuno Espírito Santo is free, has Premier League experience, and knows how to get wins against the likes of Watford and Man City.
Asked if he is worried about his future at the club, Solskjaer said: "[Losing my job] is not for me to worry about - I work as hard and as well as I can with the staff I've got, top people, professional players but at the moment we're not getting the results. OGS never worries losing his job; he's true to his word, its the board who worry to pay his contract termination. OGS proclaim he is a hard worker; after he had a week off? He worries about the result that always against his hope; but did he ever care about Utd game plan? Is there something wrong inside his head?
Utd is a very talented team but Ole is not a coach. Get a real coach and stop hiring old Utd players. You really need good coaches to win in this sport. Great player does not equal great coach. Guardiola, Klopp, and Tuchel are real coaches, that's why they win.
Bello, bellissimo, Mr. Ranieri! I really love to watch these inflated twats lose <3
If you just look at the last 2 months, Man Utd is bottom of the league
@alx30 And thats absolutely true, since September 21st - W1 D1 L5, goal difference is -10 and position 20.
Don't worry guys, United fans have been telling me that Ole will pull the great Sir Alex turnaround any day now. United will surely have another 26 years of dominance with Ole at the wheel after a terrible start on his 3rd season. That's what happened with Sir Alex so Ole the hidden genius must get the same leeway.
@vieri I doubt any United fan is actually saying this.
is Ronaldo a GOAT ?
Utd have an emergency board meeting tonight to discuss sacking Ole.
Tuesdays game at Villareal will be another defeat for Utd.
Maguire, Bissaka, Matic, Martial, Fred, Lindelof, McTominay and even De Gea now are all below Man United's level, and of course, having a coach like Ole ain't gonna help, Man united needs midfielders, defenders, fullbacks and a striker to link up with Ronaldo who today looked nervous, the first time I've seen him like this in years, Damn this team made so many mediocre signings in the past few years.
@BSN 150 million Euros this year alone and they still need a whole team to buy. Do you even realize how ridiculous that sounds? A lot of these players are certainly not mediocre because they do just fine outside of United whether it's at their national team or another club. The club is mismanaged from top to bottom. The culture is toxically lazy and the board have no spine. There's no such thing as the fabled "Man United's level" anymore. This IS their level and has been for years.
@vieri the amount of money spent doesn't mean they got good players, Maguire came for 80 mil after all.
@BSN "Mediocre signings"? Are you suggesting that Watford have better players? I never expected that any of Watford players would suit to sit in Utd bench. There is no excuse that players have a big role in Utd slum, most of them part of the problem. But I suggest, Ole is a much bigger part of the problem. For me CR7 is not the problem, but with Ole, little did he know to build a team with a superstar. Ole is NOT Sir Alex Ferguson, and he will never be. Why cant Utd board see it?
@FootballFanatics No i completely agree Ole is a big part of the problem too but it was so clear that I wanted to shift the attention just a bit to the players today, CR7 is CR7 he makes any team better so no need to talk about him.
De Gea is cr@p . Why he dont play Henderson???
I think Solskjær's contract gets now extended until 2024
Wow! That escalated quickly.
4-3-3
Its not funny anymore.
hope they wont fire Ole to replace him with balls-less Rodgers, best would be Pochettino or Zidane after the season end.
@koziol.mutant Do you even realize that if they keep Ole, they will be fighting for relegation? he needs to go now, not tomorrow not the next week, NOW!
@koziol.mutant Rodgers is the best British manager along with Graham Potter and I'm not even joking
4-1 what a joke
I can relate to losing 4-1 at Vicarage Road, however United are in real trouble
wow
Harry Maguire is a disgrace of a footballer
@Chilly_B there’s a reason he costed 80 pounds
@Frei78 what reason, so rivals could banter him more?
@Frei78 80 MILLION pounds. lol
Like seriously how can Maguire be so brainless!!!! always the same mistakes every game, very amateur of him.
Maguire sent-off in 69th minute ! lol
YES! Come on DVB!
Villareal will beat Utd at home on tuesday especially if they play like they have today.
Any “ole’s at the wheel” chant being sang?
@Frei78 It's "attack, attack, attack" now, like LvG times.
THE CRISTIANO EFFECT!!! Since Ronaldo rejoined Man United, they've lost more games than they've won! Remember when United fans said he would win them the league? Hahaha
@Nico1 Imagine thinking that Maguire, Shaw, Bissaka, Matic and Mctominay are good and Cr7 is a problem LMAO
@Youzarix They got United to 2nd last season....
@Youzarix I thought Shaw was World class lol
@Nico1 Would they still be in the Champions League without Ronaldo?.....
@HarvyWarlock Yes, without Ronaldo they would actually play as a team.....
@Nico1 This comment sounds like United playing perfect and Ronaldo missing all the chances he's having, the guy can't even meet with the ball properly. He said it himself as well, but you can't expect a 36 year old guy to bring the ball from midfield and score a solo goal.
@Byakuya They came 2nd last season without him....
@Byakuya The fact is that they didn't *need* Ronaldo. He's not the reason United is playing shit, but he also didn't improve the team at all. It's like the team is playing just to help him reach his personal records now.
@MrNemobody United did the same with Persie and they won the league, but doesn't work now because whole team is a mess. United "needed" a proper finisher because they either got penalties last season or lucky goals, poor finishing all season resulted in many draws (remember drawceshter and all those 0-0). No one can argue that Ronaldo is one of the best in history when it comes to finishing, it's not his fault that his team can't deliver.
@Byakuya Ronaldo is a great individual player. But a great individual player, does not necessarily mean you are a great team player.
United was having many shots without result when all the drama started and now fans are chanting attack, embarrassing. Players are there like they just want the game to finish so they can leave, putting nothing into game. If this game doesn't get Ole sacked, then I don't know what will. Glad to bet on Watford after first goal, will double my money at least.
Ole will be sacked if they lose this game.
@nexus747 You're saying this since Burnley game last season, couldn't even count how many times including Poch will come etc. without anything based on but seems like Ole out gonna happen finally.
Should be another error leading to goal for De Gea!! Why's he trying to save it with his right foot?
lingard is not good enough for man u, but why would west ham want him . he's a shittu player
@Yassine_1 he played very well in west ham
Shaw vs Sarr…. Things can go veeery ugly xD
1-3 (Greenwood goal)
