Team News

Man City
Leicester
  • Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo and Olksandar Zincheko all miss the welcome Leicester through injury.
  • Gabriel Jesus has reportedly also been ruled out, which could see 17-year-old Liam Delap, son of Rory, thrown in at the deep end after his goal on debut on Thursday. However, more than likely Raheem Sterling will play centrally with Riyad Mahrez coming in to face his former club.
  • Ilkay Gundogan is still observing a period of self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.
  • Wilfred Ndidi joins Ricardo Pereira and Filip Benkovic on the sidelines.
  • Jonny Evans has served his three-match ban and is fit to start for the away side.
  • James Maddison could earn his first league start of the season after stepping up his return in midweek.
  • New signing Cengiz Under is not available until next week, while Demarai Gray is unwell and misses out here.

Prediction

  • Manchester City followed up their 3-1 win at Wolves with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth to book their spot in the next round of the Carabao Cup. They have won their last four visits of Leicester and will look to continue that solid record here.
  • The Foxes have started the season strongly, earning wins over West Brom and Burnley, but succumbed to a Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal in midweek. Their record at the Etihad Stadium isn't great, but they'll fancy their chances of at least scoring in Manchester.
  • City, though, have the means to capitalise on the absence of Wilfred Ndidi to come away victorious here.

  • I feel as this was good result for the competition of the PL.

  • Manchester City midfielder Rodri said "football has not been fair to us" after Leicester City inflicted the biggest home defeat on Pep Guardiola as Blues boss.

  • sterling ahhhhh

  • Poch will have his eye on the Man City job.

  • Penalties galore.

  • So seen who was unavelable for city tonight and that this are their best defender i can boldly go and say they cant win major trophies this season. If they had a bad luck and play bayern they will eat atleast 10 goals

  • Bald fraud needs 500 mil more on transfers =DDDDDDD

  • Rodgers has certainly done his homework here watching wolves last season. Sit in a low block and weather an early City onslaught, slowly get into the game with deceptively quick fullbacks - Castagne (Doherty), effective/explosive ball carriers - Barnes (Traore) and a sly fox in the box! - Vardy ( Jimenez). And a hattrick with 15 touches to boot!! Rodgers outclasses Pep.

  • @Real_Madrid Citeh were clearly the better side. They registered 71% possession and more than twice the number of shots as Leicester. Pep Fraudiola is a tactical genius.

  • @SeuneMilmas I don't think he's a fraud tbh, City clearly missed an Aguero/Jesus here. But he still has not addressed his defensive problems and he keeps throwing money at it, turning it into an even more expensive problem. You can lead a horse to water but....

  • Sorry, Pep, it's not your night today...

  • 3 penalties for Leicester,wow

  • @neumi17 First time in EPL history a team got 3 in one game. Absolute amateur hour in defense.

  • :==DDDDDDD

  • Only 3 more goals missing for Pep to become the perfect candidate for FC Barcelona coach position!

  • After todays game Leicester will be top of the league with 4 wins from the opening 4 games.

  • @nexus747 except they've only played 3 games.

  • @oyhaa95 Sorry lol

  • City are awful i am just glad i did not back them after pep said they only had 13 fit senior players.

  • PS they shoud fork out this 100 min for kolibaly asap

  • lolz hahah vardi just fired pep hahahah

  • Lol. GG

  • Oh dear oh dear. Cities attack seem awful and defence asleep.

  • 5-2

  • @easygambling Haha just pretend it was Leicester's, then bingo well done then xD

  • @easygambling Mirror it

  • Guardiola will apply anti-football titi-kaka formula here, after moaning about the fitness of players. 1-0 or 1-1.

  • @koziol.mutant I would be shocked if Leicester don't win 3-0.

  • Can see Man City bottling here. They didn't look sharp against Wolves and Sterling still AWOL

  • ndidi is a big blow for leicester, I see mancity winning halftime/full-time

  • Jesus is out for at least 3 weeks and Aguero for 7 weeks.

  • 4-2

  • Thankfully i have not placed the treble bet yet.Pep has just said City will have only 13 fit players for sundays game.

  • 3-0

  • 3 v 1

  • City win, both to score

  • I have gone for a Spurs/ Man City / Celtic Win treble at 2.55 odds

  • @nexus747 clever
