Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) – 7.36
While he couldn’t prevent Real Madrid from crashing out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, Thibaut Courtois did all he could to help Los Blancos to the next round of the competition. The towering Belgian made nine saves across both legs, including a penalty stop to deny Bukayo Saka on Wednesday night, to help return a WhoScored rating of 7.36.

Benjamin Pavard picked the perfect time to score his first Inter goal of the season as he netted in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with former employers Bayern Munich in Milan. The Frenchman also made the third most clearances (13) in the quarter-finals to feature at the back with a WhoScored rating of 6.93.
Eric Dier (Bayern Munich) – 7.36
Bayern Munich crashed out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage but Eric Dier is still good value for his inclusion with a WhoScored rating of 7.36. Dier scored a superb header in Milan on Wednesday night, won eight aerial duels and made eight clearances to feature at the back.
Alessandro Bastoni (Inter) – 6.88
Rounding off the backline is the second of three Inter representatives. Alessandro Bastoni earned a WhoScored rating of 6.88 against Bayern Munich, having made six tackles against the Bavarian powerhouse. Six clearances, two dribbles and one key pass helped Bastoni nail down his spot in the side.
Konrad Laimer (Bayern Munich) – 7.21
Poor finishing from the Bayern frontline didn’t aid their chances of progression beyond the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Konrad Laimer played his part in the final third for the Bundesliga leaders having made eight key passes against Inter, that ranking second for this stage of the competition, while an additional five tackles saw the Austrian land a WhoScored rating of 7.21.
Declan Rice (Arsenal) – 8.34
Declan Rice was absolutely vital in Arsenal’s progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League. The England international bagged a superb first leg brace at the Emirates, beating Thibaut Courtois with two fine free-kicks, while he made more interceptions (6) than any other player in the quarter-finals. A 92.9% pass success rate helped Rice to a WhoScored rating of 8.34.
Fermin Lopez (Barcelona) – 7.37
Fermin Lopez started both quarter-final meetings with Borussia Dortmund, returning a WhoScored rating of 7.37 in the process. Lopez provided one assist from three key passes across both meetings with the German side, and made four tackles to partner Rice in the middle of the park.
Raphinha (Barcelona) – 7.53
The second Barcelona player in the side, Raphinha was directly involved in three of their five goals against Borussia Dortmund, providing two assists from five key passes and netting with one of five shots. Raphinha also managed two interceptions and two clearances on his way to a WhoScored rating of 7.53.
Lautaro Martinez (Inter) – 8.43
With a WhoScored rating of 8.43, Lautaro Martinez is the Champions League Player of the Round. The Inter skipper was named Player of the Match in both meetings with Bayern having scored two of their four goals against Vincent Kompany’ side. The Argentine star also completed more dribbles (7) to contribute towards his individual accolade.
Mikel Merino (Arsenal) – 8.19
Of the five goals Arsenal scored against Real Madrid, Mikel Merino was directly involved in three having netting in the first leg win at the Emirates before providing a brace of assists at the Bernabeu. Merino scored with one of four shots, while his assists came from three key passes, while additional returns of four clearances and two tackles saw the 28-year-old land a WhoScored rating of 8.19.
Ousmane Dembele (PSG) – 7.71
The sole PSG representative to make the cut rounds off the best XI. Ousmane Dembele provided an assist in both meetings with Aston Villa, but could easily have had more having made more key passes (11) than any other player in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Seven shots and three dribbles contributed towards the 27-year-old’s WhoScored rating of 7.71.
