WhoScored's Premier League Team of the Week: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden, Trevoh Chalobah, Jeremy Doku

Gameweek 22 in the Premier League came to a close on Monday evening, and here we’re taking a look back at the weekend’s standout performers.

Represented in our Team of the Week are Liverpool, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Fulham, Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Alisson (Liverpool) - 7.97

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson helped the Premier League leaders to a ninth clean sheet of the season at Brentford on Saturday, producing a total of seven saves - six of which came from shots inside the box - to return a WhoScored rating of 7.97.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) - 8.49

Alisson is joined by Reds team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold, who provided a fifth league assist of the season at Brentford, teeing up Darwin Nunez for the first of two stoppage-time strikes. That assist came from a total of five key passes, while the England international also managed three clearances, two interceptions and six ball recoveries, in a fine all-round display.

Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth) - 7.85

Following their 4-1 win at Newcastle on Saturday, two Bournemouth players make our best XI, the first of which is teenage defender Dean Huijsen. The 19-year-old continued his fine form in the absence of the injured Marcos Senesi, making three tackles, four blocks, four clearances and seven ball recoveries, to earn a WhoScored rating of 7.85.

Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea) - 8.14

After being recalled from his loan stint at Crystal Palace last week, Trevoh Chalobah stepped into the Chelsea backline and showed Enzo Maresca what he had been missing on Monday evening against Wolves. The 25-year-old was inches from heading home the Blues’ third goal of the night, only for Noni Madueke to steam in and nod the ball over the line - while he also made two key passes, seven clearances, three interceptions and won six of his eight duels.

Antonee Robinson (Fulham) - 8.18

Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson earns a place in yet another Team of the Week following a fine performance in the Whites’ 2-0 win at Leicester on Saturday. Robinson made a total of three tackles, three clearances, three interceptions and 10 ball recoveries, while also winning seven of the nine duels he contested.

Phil Foden (Manchester City) - 9.08

The first of three Manchester City players to make our XI following their 6-0 win at Ipswich on Sunday is Phil Foden, who made it back-to-back Premier League braces with his quickfire double in the first half at Portman Road. The England international was directly involved in all three of the champions’ first-half goals, providing the assist for Mateo Kovacic’s  driven effort from outside the area.

Justin Kluivert (Bournemouth) - 9.57

Against Newcastle on Saturday, Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert joined Erling Haaland as just the second player to net multiple hat-tricks in the Premier League this season. The Dutchman opened the scoring for the Cherries after six minutes, before restoring their lead shortly before half-time, and then adding a sumptuous third in second-half stoppage time. Kluivert then went on to tee up Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez for a fourth goal of the afternoon, that assist coming from three key passes by the 25-year-old in an excellent individual showing.

Mateo Kovacic (Manchester City) - 9.49

Manchester City midfielder Mateo Kovacic netted his fourth league goal of the campaign at Portman Road on Sunday, firing home from the edge of the area to double the visitors’ lead, before going on to provide the assist for James McAtee’s headed effort - City’s sixth of the evening - in the 69th minute.

WhoScored's Premier League Team of the Week: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden, Trevoh Chalobah, Jeremy Doku

Jeremy Doku (Manchester City) - 9.55

Like Kovacic, City winger Jeremy Doku both scored and assisted in Sunday’s rout, finding the net four minutes into the second half, before setting up Erling Haaland just eight minutes later for the Cityzens’ fifth. Doku also managed three key passes, four successful dribbles, two tackles and three ball recoveries, to land a WhoScored rating of 9.55.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) - 8.58

Crystal Palace frontman Jean-Philippe Mateta made it goals in three consecutive Premier League matches when his brace helped the Eagles to a 2-0 victory at West Ham on Saturday afternoon. The Frenchman found the net with two of his three attempts on goal at the London Stadium, while he also managed one key pass and one successful dribble, for a WhoScored rating of 8.58.

Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) - 8.44

Rounding off our Team of the Week is Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood, who scored for the fourth Premier League match in a row when Nuno Espirito Santo’s side saw off Southampton at the City Ground on Sunday. Wood found the net with one of his four shots, while he also provided the assist for Callum Hudson-Odoi’s strike on the half-hour mark, to return a WhoScored rating of 8.44.
