Team News

Dundee FC
Livingston
  • Dundee boss Tony Docherty made three changes from Dundee picking up their second league win of the season as they beat Livingston 2-0 in West Lothian, before they were hammered at home 5-0 by Rangers at Dens Park on Wednesday.
  • Jordan McGhee dropped onto the bench, as Ricki Lamie took his place as the Dee shifted to a back five. Lyall Cameron was also sat amongst the substitutes, as Scott Tiffoney was at the tip of Dundee's five-man midfield.
  • The other alteration was their sole striker, as Zak Rudden also made may from the starting eleven. Amadou Bakayoko was the man chosen to lead the line for Dundee against Rangers in midweek.
  • Davie Martindale named six changes to the Livingston team that lost 2-0 to Dundee at the Tony Macaroni Arena last weekend, before they lost their midweek match 1-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle.
  • Jack Hamilton replaced Shamal George between the sticks against his former club. Miles Welch-Hayes was handed a first league start for the Lions in the back four, taking the suspended Cristian Montaño's place.
  • Luiyi de Lucas, Daniel Mackay and Steven Bradley made way for Andrew Shinnie, Mo Sangare and Scott Pittman to join Jason Holt in midfield. Bruce Anderson dropped onto the bench, with Stephen Kelly supporting Joel Nouble in attack.

Prediction

  • Having played one another last weekend, familiar foes meet at Dens Park as Dundee host Livingston in Sunday's sole Scottish Premiership fixture.
  • Dundee will hope that it's a repeat of last Saturday, just with a different venue, as they beat Livingston on the road by a 2-0 scoreline. The Dee have won just one of their Scottish Premiership fixtures at Dens so far this season, their midweek match against Rangers being their first defeat. This is a great opportunity to move four points clear of Livi, whilst still having a game in hand.
  • Livingston head to Dundee on the back of three straight Scottish Premiership defeats, one of which came at the hands of this weekend's opponents. Granted, the other two came away to two of the top five teams heading into the weekend's fixtures. But Livi have won once away from home in the league so far and not since the 26th August with a 3-2 win against Hibs at Easter Road.
  • Dundee are a point ahead of Livingston, having played a game fewer than Livi so far, but the Dee will want to try and open up a four-point gap on their weekend opponents with a win in this one.
