Media didn't react well today when Ten Hag said United have fitness problem unlike Arsenal, here's the result which is explaining his words better. Arsenal got eliminated from other cups 4 and 2 months before respectively, here goes another. Their squad depth is better, still couldn't handle. United have been favourite to win EL until losing 7-0, way more clear now.
Coates missing the match is a huge loss for Sporting. They usually lose by 4 or 5 goals when he doesn't play in European competitions, so it raises some red flags. Morita is of course suspended but he is not crucial.
Coates and Morita are suspended too. But the return of Ugarte could give Sporting a big boost. I predict Sporting to score at least one goal, possibly an unheralded upset could be on the cards here as our home record is not as good as our away one - somewhat bizarrely - and our focus this season is squarely on the Premier League. I will go for a Sporting win or draw after 90 minutes.
@Overmars I'm not sure if it happened everytime, but it happens a lot, that is, when Coates misses the match for them they usually get hammered 5-1 or something along those lines. I really hope it doesn't happen once again...
"last week's 2-2 draw with Sporting was the first time this season they have conceded more than once in a single Europa League game."
Not true, they lost 2-0 to PSV. But we are through to the last 8 Arsenal 3-1 Sporting
Now they are going to lose the EPL to City.
@bopol Nope.

Dispite Arsenal being helped in the 1st leg with 2 illegal goals and a penalty not given to Sporting, the better team qualified
Antonio Adan is an absolute boss!!!
WHAT A GOAL!! :0

@Overmars Apart from the spot-on prediction, I appreciate your objectivity on this while other Arsenal fans were expecting to win by margin.
