If I told you Italy would be the champion of EURO 2020, it seemed ridiculous.But it is Mancini that makes it come true.
Gareth shouldn't put too much pressure on Marcus Rashford,Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.
Southgate bottled this game tactically. He should have started with Grealish over Mount in 4-2-3-1. Instead of using England's best tactics to project their own personality and style onto the game he was running scared of Italy. He used 3-4-3 and England parked the bus and got completely dominated. The fact England scored with their first attack and had one shot in first 60 minutes but led 1-0 doesn't change anything. It was screaming out all game at 1-0 to revert to a back 4 but like the Croatia semi Southgate doesn't have a clue tactically or personnel wise. When he did change to a back four he negatively matched Italy instead of using 4-2-3-1. He also played Grealish on the left wing instead of as a number 10 when he brought him on which was a mistake. England missed Foden, but the reality is Southgate's fear cost England and the double sub before penalties and the personnel put on pens was questionable too. Italy and Mancini deserved to beat England and Southgate here.
@John1990 Next time Southgate, don't sandbag the big games. Win them. If you can't do it (play properly, with strong tactics on the big occasion) then nominate me as manager for those games. Good luck Gareth.
@Allejo England's last trophy was 55 years ago. Egypt had won the African Cup 6x with the most recent in 2010, 2008, and 2006. If we're strictly talking about actually winning stuffs and glory days then Egypt has had it better than England.
@bopol Yeah Italy deserved it, but I don't agree with the "best team of the competition" thing. For me Portugal, France and Spain are better, but didn't qualify. It happens.
@hellreaper Why were they better if they played worst football and didn't get results on top of it ? Spain had no offence and could only pass the ball around, Portugal was a desaster defensively and France just played awfull football.
Yeah. I don't buy Donnarumma "winning" two PKs and deserving Player of tournament.. He just saved weak penaties in shootouts two times, and had like 2 great saves against Belgium and a few ok overrall. Bonucci, Chiellini or indeed Sterling. If Sterling had good final, he easily could've won it
Deserved winner ! England did nothing for the game and basically stopped playing forward after 50 minutes.
Italy had the better chances and were more active.
Southgate is basically done as a manager.
After 96 he lost another penalty shootout by substituting 2 players especially for the shootout and both of them missed.
@neumi17 To the contrary. Southgate is not done. He reached a semifinal and a final which is a massive overachievement considering England's "success" at big tournaments historically.
@neumi17 Southgate is 'done' as a manager? He's certainly secure in his job. If you are referring to his ability then any manager who can get a team to a final can also win it. It was a draw.
@MrNemobody should be best young player as well unless 22 is too old, no one stood out apart from sterling for england but they were always going to pick a player from the winning team
@MrNemobody maybe, but Insigne was disappointing against Spain and tonight. Maybe Spina the overall but missed the two biggest games. No.clear "best" player and Donna won the PKs
OMG DONNARUMMA
I was so puzzled when he saved that last penalty, this man really won them the euros and he was so casual about it. Huge respect, probably my favorite GK now.
Pretty fun game, hard-luck England
@splint3r I still don’t understand this argument. Do you watch this sport? In 2016 France was the host, ALL teams set up camp in France. This euro did not have a host it was games across different countries in Europe but England had the majority of their games at Wembley. Not the same thing at all.
@Lechiffre10 Yes, I do watch this sport. Quite a lot, in fact. And what we've been having for the past two seasons is not football. It's covid-ball. Or something. But it's definitely not football.
@Oversoul happens all the time wtf are you new to football? no host nation other than Chile and Brazil won a major tournament since at least 2004 when I started watching football.
@alxdru Undoubtedly one of the greatest centre back duos in the history of the game. Especially for how ridiculously long they've been playing together.
@Lechiffre10 yeah, why the hell did they get 2 massive home games for the semi and the final with 60k England fans and max 1k foreign fans?
At least Kuipers wasn't fooled by Sterling. Credit to him.

My girlfriend dropped me off at the bar just in time for kickoff while she looked for parking, she didn’t sit down until the 20th minute. Shoutout to her, what a finish Shaw. Playing like prime Roberto Carlos this tournament, definitely a shout for player of the tournament if England win
Italy played well against teams with 5 at the back on this Euro.They beat Switzerland,Wales and Belgium .I don't see why England is favorite here :) bettingwise.Stats,h2h games,manager ( who won a trohy at Wembley), players value , are all in Italy's favor.
Alot of fouls I predict, Officials will have tough time to determine exactly who to be punished/ rewarded. Pickford might cost England. 1-1. England win
Expect a very non-exciting final with Italy scoring 2 in the second half and then England attacking 11 Italians in their half. At the end Chellini will be telling Foden that he never lost 2 European finals in 2 months.
When the bandwagon comes to a halt Sunday Evening and the hype and emotion dies down . In the ensuing days the English media etc etc will come out with this All that will come from this is -. If you would have told any Englishman at the start of the tournament that England would reach the final they would have bitten off your hand. Southgate has done a great job, he has restored peoples faith in the National Team. He masterminded Englands first ever win on penalties in a World Cup Finals 3 years ago and took them to a semi final. Now he has beaten Germany in a knock out game in a tournament for the first time since 1966 and broke the psychological barrier of England losing in Semi Finals and taken a team to its first final in 55 years. This will be followed up with this group of players are young , they have done everyone proud , they will learn from this experience, they have come so far in such a short space of time the future looks good for this crop of players. zzzzzz
Italy are currently the Unofficial Football World Championship holder which they won from the Netherlands on 7th September 2020. Extra bragging rights for England if they win...
@draelis Yes, you are right. It would shame the tired old Franco-German old farts club of UEFA and all of their supine minor nation sycophants, just like it did when we got out of that similar Franco-German club called the EU. COME ON ENGLAND!
Lets all take a moment and appreciate WhoScored's Euro Predictions... Well done mate!
@abhishek23 Man, not mate.
If I told you Italy would be the champion of EURO 2020, it seemed ridiculous.But it is Mancini that makes it come true. Gareth shouldn't put too much pressure on Marcus Rashford,Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.
anyone knows what were the odds for Shaw scoring?
@Zootball probably about 25/1 I backed him to assist a goal at 6/1, to give you an idea Mount was 8/1 to score and Sterling was 4/1 to score
Southgate bottled this game tactically. He should have started with Grealish over Mount in 4-2-3-1. ENGLAND YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT COMING
@Mido9 Egypt's glory days are much further behind them than England ;)
@Allejo England's last trophy was 55 years ago. Egypt had won the African Cup 6x with the most recent in 2010, 2008, and 2006. If we're strictly talking about actually winning stuffs and glory days then Egypt has had it better than England.
England won, anything else is just made up. The 55 years of hurt are over, don't care what anyone else says. You did it boys.
The best team of the competition deserved to win. Italy have shown great consistency in every aspect from the beginning of this competition.
@hellreaper Portugal and France? You sound deluded by hype.

@tinyclaw I am speaking about his really poor tactics and his unwillingness to play more offensively despite having so many talented players.
Forza Italia!!
Who the F is Saka and why did he kick the penalty instead of Sterling?
@tkr You spelled Sucka wrong
Donnarumma Player of the Tournament doesn't make much sense for me.
@MrNemobody should be best young player as well unless 22 is too old, no one stood out apart from sterling for england but they were always going to pick a player from the winning team
@MrNemobody who else?
@dSquib Ever heard of Luke Shaw?
@dSquib For me it should be between Bonucci, Insigne and Verratti (even missing the first two matches, his numbers are impressive).
@MrNemobody maybe, but Insigne was disappointing against Spain and tonight. Maybe Spina the overall but missed the two biggest games. No.clear "best" player and Donna won the PKs
As an Englishman: well done Italy, you deserved to win as you were the better team.
Italy!!! Everyone wrote them off but they did it and with some style this time as well. Congratulations!!
it's coming home innit
@Lulzovich No, it's coming from Rome.
Lol...deleting comments...makes it even sweeter that England lost. Love it!!!
Well done Southgate! Rashford & Sancho sub for pens.. you think that was the maximum they can do?? Excellent desicion. Retire please
OMG DONNARUMMA I was so puzzled when he saved that last penalty, this man really won them the euros and he was so casual about it. Huge respect, probably my favorite GK now. Pretty fun game, hard-luck England
blimy croaky!
Italy deserved the trophy. GG boys!
SIIII FORZAA SIIIII
That is what happens when you hire a man from rugby to train penalties.
Wow, three Mbappé missed penalty goals.
imagine losing the tournament playing all but 1 match at home XD
@Oversoul France lost the final, while having played all matches at home in 2016. Your point is?
@splint3r I still don’t understand this argument. Do you watch this sport? In 2016 France was the host, ALL teams set up camp in France. This euro did not have a host it was games across different countries in Europe but England had the majority of their games at Wembley. Not the same thing at all.
@Lechiffre10 Yes, I do watch this sport. Quite a lot, in fact. And what we've been having for the past two seasons is not football. It's covid-ball. Or something. But it's definitely not football.
@Oversoul Most teams lose tournaments having played ALL games at home. What's to imagine, exactly?
@Oversoul happens all the time wtf are you new to football? no host nation other than Chile and Brazil won a major tournament since at least 2004 when I started watching football.
No action hero donnarumma
GG Italy! Cheers from Hungary!
Sterling Karma!
HAHAHAHA ENGLAND EVEN WITH THE RED CARPET FROM UEFA STILL BOTTLE IT!! Sancho was bought for 80million euros from Manchester United hahaha
@Lechiffre10 Sancho is top player but Southgate choose to play with Saka .
England, for this I will hate you for the rest of my life!
Bonucci and Chellini is a wonderful cb pair to watch
@alxdru Undoubtedly one of the greatest centre back duos in the history of the game. Especially for how ridiculously long they've been playing together.
italy better in every aspect
total shots 15_4 plize cheinc
Come on Belotti !
@alxdru lol he missed
Only reason England made it this far is due to UEFA rolling out the red carpet for them
@Lechiffre10 Stop pretending to be Italian. Where are you from anyway? Luxembourg?
@Lechiffre10 yeah, why the hell did they get 2 massive home games for the semi and the final with 60k England fans and max 1k foreign fans? At least Kuipers wasn't fooled by Sterling. Credit to him.
@Lechiffre10 the reason both these teams made it to the final is that they are the best of a bad bunch at the moment
@3shots True. And because France greatly underestimated Switzerland. If they had beaten them, this tournament was theirs for the taking.
@splint3r I agree I think this was really Frances tournament to lose
@3shots this. Was any other national team impressive? Other than Denmark, no. Not at all.
@Lechiffre10 dude stfu. We get it, you hate England
This website is not trust worthy. They work for bet365 and show the manipulative data as per their demand. They have no response team. If you send them an email.
@Samriddha 1xbet
@Samriddha lots of the bookies sponsor this site
@Samriddha that’s not how it works. They get their statistics from opta and so reaching out to who scored will not change the official data
SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
@MorrisBuck88 Vai in culo
My girlfriend dropped me off at the bar just in time for kickoff while she looked for parking, she didn’t sit down until the 20th minute. Shoutout to her, what a finish Shaw. Playing like prime Roberto Carlos this tournament, definitely a shout for player of the tournament if England win
@normal_fan99 He should have still been player of the tournament, even though they didn't win.
Two poor teams going for it. One that benefitted from UEFA’s format and the other that rode its luck
Italy's worst game so far
Italia, Russia con te! Forza, italia!
Both to score fix.
FAST GOAL!
@MorrisBuck88 there were probably still lots of people still at the bar and toilets.
@MEHJones lol propably yeah
@MEHJones inclusive the italian players :)
Italy played well against teams with 5 at the back on this Euro.They beat Switzerland,Wales and Belgium .I don't see why England is favorite here :) bettingwise.Stats,h2h games,manager ( who won a trohy at Wembley), players value , are all in Italy's favor.
@alxdru Mancini has also lost a final at Wembley (with Man City to Wigan in 2013).
@MEHJones ooops
Alot of fouls I predict, Officials will have tough time to determine exactly who to be punished/ rewarded. Pickford might cost England. 1-1. England win
@buthethi Italy committed fouls that players of other countries have been sent off for.
boring 0-0, both very defensive
@3shots told ya!
BTTS @ 2.25 odds.
The only player Italy should focus on is Sterling if they manage him well, they can win. as he is the key player to England side. forza azzurri!!
1:0 Italy
Italy have had a tough route to the final where as Englands has been relatively easy.
@Rensen What was tough about it? The only strong team both in theory and practice was Spain. And they didn't even beat them.
It's coming ROME
Italy to win 2-1 or 3-1.
I am amazed the English fans all think this is going to be a easy win.
@Rensen where doe it say that?
Yesterday Argentina won Copa America vs Brazil in Maracanã. Today would be nice if Italy win this game vs England in Wembley. IT'S COMING ROME!!!
Expect a very non-exciting final with Italy scoring 2 in the second half and then England attacking 11 Italians in their half. At the end Chellini will be telling Foden that he never lost 2 European finals in 2 months.
It's time for Federico Chiesa to produce some magic tonight!All eyes on him!Mighty Italia is time to bring the trophy where it belongs...to Rome!
Italy to win 3-1 It's coming Rome
ENGLAND ENGLAND ENGLAND ENGLAND NA NA!
Immobile to score in the first half ...3-0 FT
@alxdru First half under 1.5 goals and maybe 1-1 in 90 minutes. Draw is fix I think.
2-1 Italy regular time. Sterling deserves his tears
ALL IN (20,000 EURO) ITALY INTO BERRETINI TO WIN 300K
@angelo44 i hope u didnt bet on Berrettini, u cant be that stupid
@angelo44 i hope u didnt bet on Berrettini, u cant be that stupid
@angelo44 what ur betting on Berrettini? are u crazy?
@angelo44 15K to draw in 90 minutes... and 5K to England win the trophy. :)
@angelo44 NO. Do not Gamble.
One big final will be played today. Also there's the Euro final :D
@GioMonaldo that was yesterday - they are hours behind Europe - doh!
@eastend1 Copa America final was on Sunday in European time, 2 am local in Germany.
When the bandwagon comes to a halt Sunday Evening and the hype and emotion dies down . In the ensuing days the English media etc etc will come out with this All that will come from this is -. Italy should win after that cheating from Sterling!
@GD10 Win fairly you mean? We are talking about Italy, are we not? Or do two wrongs make a right?
@tinyclaw Italy are well known for Cheating.
Italy to win
will be cheering England to win but backed Italy from the start at 9/1, don't know what I really want to happen
@3shots If Italy win buy yourself a whip with the bet money.
Pickford will be Englands weak point.He made lots of mistakes in the Denmark game including his terrible goal kicks.
@Rensen he and England have conceded 1 goal…
@eastend1 From a Free Kick that wasn't a foul and the Wall was Illegally Encroached on the FK. In reality this should be ZERO.
2-1 Obviously a team unbeaten in 33 games will not lose to England.
draw and Italy win on penalties
@digital13 Congrat! :)
@Finucci Justice have been served
@digital13 correct!
Italy 0 - 1 England
Italy 2-1 either inside 90 minutes or after ET
Italia 1990 vs England 2020.
@John1990 You have got this England. Do not sandbag!
Italy are currently the Unofficial Football World Championship holder which they won from the Netherlands on 7th September 2020. Extra bragging rights for England if they win...
Italiaanoooo! 2-1.
England 1-0 italy
Btts and maybe 1-1.
@Finucci correct
@MEHJones Thank You. :) Greetings from Hungary!
England is not worth it. they do not produce football. Hope italy win in regular time.
@Andronic England literally produced football. England invented it. The irony is strong with this one.
@John1990 IT'S COMING HOME
4-0 to England.
@tinyclaw Hahaha i wish
@leedsunitedfc If you play to your full potential we will win.
@tinyclaw omg ... what are you on??
2-0 to England, would not be shocking at all, but if it's not 2-0 to England, I will be terribly shocked. Terribly.
@Caseyyy1 phahahahahaha
I'll be shocked if neither of these teams win the final
@angelo44 No matter what: I'll be shocked
@angelo44 I'll be shocked if both of them draw even after penalties and sudden death
@angelo44 I'll be Shocked if neither of them lose the final
England win european championship final maybe..
Come on England!
@footballover Do not sandbag England.
Foden or Grealish in for Mount. Rest unchanged. Let's do this England.
@John1990 He wont do that. He will keep Mount in there to disturb Jorginho at the pivot of their midfield.
@leedsunitedfc I don't think that's necessary when the other two will help dominate possession more and create more chances.
Come on England. Do not sandbag. You deserve to win this trophy. Let's do it.
Oh my God if this England wins the throphy.. this would be the shame of international football
@draelis If Italy win it, it would be an even bigger shame.
@draelis Yes, you are right. It would shame the tired old Franco-German old farts club of UEFA and all of their supine minor nation sycophants, just like it did when we got out of that similar Franco-German club called the EU. COME ON ENGLAND!
@tinyclaw awful take. IT'S COMING ROME
@draelis - You are clearly a sore, blaspheming loser. Shame on you, not international football.
@draelis Go to bed you're tired.
@draelis Vacuous comment. Come on England let’s p8ss draelis off…
@draelis why i think they have to win against the racist team italon
@richdabeatmaker Endeavour
