- Maxwel Cornet was an unused sub in Burnley's 3-1 loss at Everton on Monday night and fans will hope to see their big money summer arrival in action against Arsenal.
- Nathan Collins will be assessed, but Connor Roberts, Kevin Long and Dale Stephens miss the welcome of the Gunners.
- Aaron Ramsdale replaced Bernd Leno as goalkeeper for Arsenal in last week's 1-0 win over Norwich so there is no real need to change here.
- Mikel Arteta has confirmed Thomas Partey is pushing for his first start, which is timely given Mohamed Elneny is injured and Granit Xhaka is suspended.
- Ainsley Maitland-Niles will naturally hope to keep his place in midfield but Arteta may go for Partey's robustness against Burnley.
