  • Hi BenMcAleer1, can you explain the Willian assist to me please? Last night when questioned about the Pepe assist, and I quote, "Nicolas Pepe was not credited with the assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal because the ball last touched Arthur Masuaku, therefore Masuaku, not Pepe, had the final touch before Aubameyang scored." Now you are awarding William an assist when there was a clear touch off the Lille no4 before Abraham scored? There's no consistency here. Are there different rules/definitions for an assist in the Champions League?

  • @BR13 I'd put down both of those as assists. Those light touches didn't really change the balls path nor speed.

  • @BR13 why this is so important for you?

  • @ustat777 this issue was raised last night by @Barry1981 and an explanation was given by @BenMcAleer1. The exact same thing has happened within 24 hours. The assist has been awarded on this occasion even though there was a touch again from the defending player. This clearly goes against what was communicated last night! Either they were both assists or neither were. Would you not agree?

  • @BR13 Think there's some weight in this. Don't understand why the assist wasn't awarded last night. The slight touch from Masuaku did not change the trajectory or intended target similar to Willian's cross. Both were worthy of being awarded.

  • 3-0

  • 3-0

  • 3-0

  • Sure win by young exciting team of Chelsea, a brace by american miracle, assist by croatian sensation, Tammy Abraham to shine.

  • @Patrikovic And one Giroud to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them.

  • 3-0. Rudiger is back. I expect a much improved defensive performance and an explosive attack from Chelsea.
