Team News

  • Harry Maguire only signed for Manchester United at the start of the week but will make his full debut for the club on Sunday.
  • Fellow summer signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will also make competitive debuts for the Red Devils when they host top-six rivals Chelsea this weekend.
  • Anthony Martial was deployed as the central striker in pre-season and the Frenchman is expected to start through the middle here, with Marcus Rashford on the left. Mason Greenwood should feature from the bench.
  • Eric Bailly is a long-term absentee with a back injury, while Alexis Sanchez won't be considered for the rest of the month following his late return from the 2019 Copa America. Paul Pogba missed United's final pre-season game with a back problem but it would be a surprise if he didn't start here.
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Antonio Rüdiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi are all expected to miss out for Chelsea.
  • N'Golo Kante managed to take part in Chelsea's final pre-season game to hand Frank Lampard with a huge boost ahead of his first competitive game in charge of Chelsea.
  • Christian Pulisic will make his Chelsea debut against Manchester United, the club whom he supported growing up.
  • Mason Mount's pre-season displays have given Lampard a headache heading into Sunday's trip to Old Trafford and the midfielder will hope to get the nod over Ross Barkley here.
  • Pedro should be safe to line up on the right hand side of Chelsea's attack following Willian's late return to pre-season.
  • Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud are in competition to lead the line for the away side.

  • Manchester United are unbeaten in their last six home league matches against Chelsea, though four of those games have ended in a draw.
  • Frank Lampard has already tasted victory at Old Trafford as a manager after his Derby side knocked United out of the League Cup last season.

  • Can be United serious opponent for gold? They definitely be in Top 4, Bissaka and Maguire as if always playing for MU. Chelsea only really had a few chances. Not bad four in defense

  • Chelsea’s new no.9 signing Trans Fer Ban was phenomenal vs manutd. no wonder it only 4-0.

  • Manchester United's best hope is fourth, judging from the football they exhibited yesterday.

  • it's good for football that maguire has moved to united. i think he's gonna improve again this season

  • Ole ole ole ole.... ole ole!

  • Lampard will be sucked in no time mark my words

  • @Zidane15 , sucked ? Who wants to suck him

  • @footballover chelsea fans

  • @COACHIE Rooney too

  • United will not win anything mark my words. Maybe they will finish in top4 but they are far away in quality from City and Lfc

  • @stefanm The fact is that Chelsea was destroyed by United. Your words full of pain and envy make you enjoy even more.

  • @stefanm , here comes the hater, typical madridiot

  • @stefanm we are still rebuilding... no one expects us to be at their level yet. Considering in their first years with their new managers they were in our position.

  • @stefanm United consider finishing in top 4 a big achievement.

  • @GioMonaldo , every team have gone through this. City and Chelsea used to scum before oil money and Russian money suddenly were invested , you can’t compare them with United

  • The team full of talented and fearless young players are delightful to watch. GGMU !

  • Chelsea without Hazard are Brighton.

  • @GioMonaldo you forgot that they lost 6-0 vs man city last year where he was tho?

  • @JotaroDio And they will lose 7-0 this season.

  • Chelsea need new players yet they cannot due to the transfer ban.

  • @nexus747 They'll just have to grow them by hand, like back in Ye Olde Times

  • good for manu

  • Chelsea's season is over before it started.

  • OVER 2.5 Goals

  • @nexus747 Booom a winner at evens :)

  • I am a Chelsea fan but betting is another story. Its Frank Lampard's time at Chelsea but I do not think it will be an easy start since the team was not in position to sign new players. MU should be stronger this year, Maguire will help in defense while Martial will be more stimulated as an attacker. My bet for today: MU to WIN and Over 1.5 goals in the match (2.75).

  • @Betmenu he doesn't know team structure yet, Chelsea will not lose here

  • 2-2

  • United gonna crush Chelsea

  • @Football_fan I would be shocked if Chelsea do not win 2-0.

  • @SeuneMilmas Yeah, so shock

  • @SeuneMilmas I would be shocked if you ever stop this nonsense.

  • Chelsea defense seems like very fragile. I go with Man.U today !

  • The trickiest match of the day. No bet!

  • @Gambino78 Tricky? No Hazard, no party!

  • Corners over 7.5 + Man's corners over 2.5 + Chelsea's corners over 2.5 + Goals over 0.5 + Cards under 5.5

  • Blues might suprisingly carry the day here.

  • if Lampard starts Mount over Barkley it's just oh no no no, it's ez lose. Kepa will be disappointed and will allow goals cuz if Lampard would want to substitute him then he has to ACTUALLY go, that's why he alow pretty goals in the preseason I think. He fears that this situation could be possible, poor young kepa.

  • @KiraFabri I don't think a keeper being subbed off is a regular enough occurrence that a keeper would actually live in fear of this happening.

  • 2-2

  • Correct score 1:1

  • every Arsenal/Liverpool/Man City fan should take a screenshot with the lineups for this game and make a poster

  • @alxdru It's a chocking sight. Don't think I've seen either of these teams with so many questionable starting players for quite some time. Pogba and Kanté world-class quality exceptions ofc.

  • Man Utd 2 - 0 Chelsea

  • Man U 1-2 Chelsea

  • 2-1 Rashford

  • i think man utd will be over run in midfield , especially if pogba still has a move on his mind. 0-2 to chelsea

  • Man united 1-1 Chelsea

  • MU: Matic, Mata - start, James, Lingard- bench. Chelsea: Kovacic - start, Mount - bench. 1:0

  • UNITED 2-0
